    This program is designed specifically for leaders with 2-10 years of management experience. Well-qualified participants are responsible for leading a team of individual contributors. Job titles may include assistant/associate director, senior manager, or project manager.

    The tuition for this 2-day program is $1,995 and includes all program materials, meals and breaks. Tuition credits are available for early registration (before November 15), multi-registrations from one company (3+), FIU employees and alumni, and non-profit/government organizations.

  • The following information pertains to policies and procedures of Florida International University’s Center for Leadership (The Center) that affect your enrollment in the executive leadership development programs. It is your responsibility to be familiar with these policies and procedures, and, unless otherwise specified, this policy applies to all executive leadership development programs offered by The Center.
    Registering for a program
    The Center for Leadership’s executive leadership programs are open enrollment programs, unless otherwise specified. Executives wanting to attend a program are expected to self-qualify by reading and considering the “Who Should Attend?” section of each program. The Center reserves the right to cancel/refuse registrations for executives who do not qualify for a program. Proof of organizational roles and responsibilities and references may be requested if deemed necessary by The Center. If you have any doubts regarding your qualifications for a specific program, please contact The Center directly and speak with a program manager, BEFORE completing this application.
    Prepayment is a requirement for program admission. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice or sixty (60) days before the start of the program. You will receive an invoice once your application has been approved. Your enrollment and space in the program is confirmed only after payment has been received. If not paid in full 15 days prior to the program's start date, registration is subject to cancellation without notice. Promotional offers cannot be combined. Opting out of accommodations or other provided services will not result in a price reduction.
    Cancellations by FIU Center for Leadership
    The Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any executive leadership development program with insufficient enrollment or for reasons beyond FIU’s control. If an executive leadership development program is cancelled, the client will be given a full refund.
    If a program is cancelled, The Center’s liability is limited to a full refund of the program fee already paid. The Center is not responsible for travel or related costs under any circumstances. Participants may want to consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance in the unlikely event that a program is cancelled or they cannot attend for personal or professional reasons.
    Cancellation of an executive leadership development program by client
    In preparation for your participation in FIU’s Center for Leadership programs, several irreversible commitments are made once you register for a program. The following guidelines apply to all written requests for cancellation by the client:
    • Cancellations received at least 30 days prior to the program’s start date will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations received between 30 and 15 days prior to the program’s start date will receive a full refund, minus a fee equal to 40% of the full (undiscounted) registration fee.
    • Cancellations received within 15 days prior to the program’s start date are non-refundable.
    At the full discretion of The Center, we may offer the client the option to transfer their registration to a subsequent program with similar registration costs. The transfer must be applied and used within 12 months of the cancellation. Failure to use the transfer allowance within 12 months will result in a forfeit of that allowance. Should changes in pricing occur for subsequent programs to which registrations were transferred, the client will be responsible for any additional fees, as applicable.

    If payment for a program was made with a credit card, the refund will occur 10 business days after the written request to drop a program has been approved by FIU’s Center for Leadership, or 10 business days after the initial credit card transaction has cleared, whichever is later. Once a request to cancel is submitted, you will receive notification of receipt of the request and approval, or decline, of that request.
    Photography and Recording Permissions
    By completing this application, I, the program applicant, on my own behalf and for those who claim under, through, or for, me, hereby grant absolute right and permission to Florida International University to take photographs, slides, video, film footage, motion pictures, CDs, DVDs and/or audio reproductions of the person(s) named in this application.
    For value received, which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby release Florida International University, the Florida International University Board of Trustees, the Florida Board of Governors, the State of Florida, their officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any suit, claim or demand; and agree to indemnify and hold each of them harmless from all loss, damages, claims and demands growing out of the enforcement or attempted enforcement of any suit, claim or action arising out of, or occasioned by the use of such audio/visuals.
    In granting such permission, I hereby relinquish any right, title or interest in such photographs, slides, video, film footage, motion pictures CDs, DVDs, and/or audio reproductions and grant Florida International University permission to publish, exhibit or use such audio/visuals for any and all purposes.
